It was a busy seven years in Bern. In 2023, the Global Land Programme moved its coordination office from CDE to the University of Maryland. What were the highlights? What challenges went unsolved? And what opportunities have been opened up thanks to the new GLP headquarters?

Many universities have taken up the cause of sustainability. But what about its practical implementation? In Bern, the universities have joined forces to promote Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Lilian Trechsel, CDE, is convinced the universities can learn a lot from each other. New professorship at CDE

Christoph Oberlack was appointed Associate Professor for Sustainability Governance at CDE and the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Bern. The new professorship strengthens governance research at the University of Bern and the link between CDE and the social sciences.
